About Native Marine Adventures

Your Captain

Hey there, I'm Jason Maire, and this is my life's work.

Growing up in my family's boatyard, I've been around boats longer than I've been walking. I earned my first captain's license at 20 and my 200/500 ton Master's certification by 22.

For over 22 years, I've worked everything from luxury yachts to tournament sportfish throughout Florida waters. I've run charters, taught diving, competed in fishing tournaments, and built boats in our family business. But as a father myself, what I love most is sharing this knowledge with young people and watching them develop confidence, responsibility, and respect for the water.

Family has always been at the center of everything I do - from our four-generation boatyard tradition to how I approach teaching your children. I understand the trust parents place in me, and I treat every student with the same care and attention I'd want for my own kids.

My Credentials:

  • 200/500 Ton Master's Merchant Mariner License
  • PADI Certified Instructor (22+ years diving experience)
  • Degree in Mechanics + Business Administration
  • Fourth-generation marine industry family
  • Fully insured and safety certified

This isn't a side business or corporate program - it's me passing on what four generations of my family have learned about boats, safety, and respecting the water.

Native Marine Adventures exists because young people deserve hands-on marine education from someone who's actually lived and worked in this industry - not just classroom theory.

This is about passing down real knowledge and building leaders with integrity who truly understand and respect the water.

What to Expect

Personal Instruction

Students will be learning directly from me - every class, every session. No rotating instructors or teaching assistants.

Real Equipment

We use my working vessel and professional shop tools, not training simulators. Students learn on equipment they'll actually use.

Safety First

Every program emphasizes safety protocols, emergency procedures, and responsible boating practices. All activities are fully insured with proper safety equipment.

Family Communication

I personally respond to all inquiries and keep parents informed about their student's progress throughout the program.
